Important Notes:

All of the ferries connecting Albania and Italy are overnight ferries. If at all possible we would strongly recommend travelling on a ferry line that has pet-friendly cabins. Make sure to book your trip as far in advance as possible so that you are guaranteed a pet-friendly cabin. Please ensure that you have a clear understanding of all of the rules and regulations regarding your dog for the country to which you are travelling.

Best Time of Year to Visit Albania with Your Dog

Winters in the coastal region of Albania are mild, with average high temperatures around 46°F (8°C), making it perfect for walking and exploring with your dog. We recommend visiting from April to June or September to November. Albania tends to get very crowded and hot during the summer months, especially in July and August, so we discourage travelling with a dog during this time.

PEDRO THE WESTIE

I am originally from Calgary, Canada, but now I am living my best life exploring the world with my hoomans, Natascha and Josef. I am not a guide or a service dog, and when I travel, all rules apply. Hopefully, I can inspire other hoomans to travel and explore with their dogs.
